At Sweet Briar, students participate in dozens of uniquely Sweet Briar experiences through age-old traditions and ceremonies that help everyone let off a little steam. Take, for example, paint flinging in the Hitching Post Fight, playful tap clubs and the tongue-in-cheek Faculty Show.

The Summer 2013 Sweet Briar Magazine showcases how learning extends beyond the classroom at the College. In addition, you will learn how two special alumnae, Sally Haas ’72 and Candince McMillian ’98, are changing the lives of others and read more about novelist Barbara Kingsolver’s recent visit to campus.
