Enchanting Ireland | July 28-August 9, 2013
It’s a beautiful, lyrical land, where the gentle green landscape dazzles and the people delight; where warmth and hospitality are national traits and poets are national heroes. From Dublin to Galway, Killarney to Kilkenny, this full yet well-paced tour showcases Ireland’s many charms — both old and new. On a city tour of Dublin, visit Trinity College, home of the stunning Book of Kells, and St. Patrick’s, the national cathedral of the Church of Ireland. Take in the magnificent scenery across both Galway and Kerry counties including the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and Connemara. Tour the dramatic Aran Islands and enjoy a scenic drive around the Ring of Kerry, a 110-mile route connecting Dingle, Iveragh and Beara peninsulas. Conclude your journey in Kilkenny with a tour of the castle, considered by many to be the most beautiful in the country. This itinerary truly sums up the Irish experience.

Southern Italy and Sicily | September 9-23, 2013
Delight in a special exploration of Italy’s southern climes, from striking Sicily to unheralded Apulia, the alluring “boot heel” where a vivid history, unique architecture, distinctive traditions, and bountiful plains join the sun and sea in creating a prized (and crowd-free) region. Explore Italy’s autonomous island region of Sicily staying in lovely Taormina with excursions to Agrigento and Mt. Etna. Enjoy lunch and a walking tour of Bari, capital of the Apulia region. Discover Lecce, the “Florence of the South,” and visit Alberobello, whose 400 or so trulli – conical houses with grey-stone roofs – rank as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Tour Pompeii, the city frozen in time by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius and gather for a hands-on Neopolitan cuisine cooking lesson. Embark on a breathtaking drive along the winding cliff-top Amalfi Coast above the glistening Tyrrhenian Sea. Travel to the storied isle of Capri. Spend 4-days/3-nights in Rome “On Your Own” as an optional post-tour extension.
