Homecoming 2007 was celebrated with over 1000 registered guests including students, alumnae, faculty, staff, and friends of the College. “Tusculum – An Architectural Study” was the academic focus with many traditional features including Founders' Day, 4th Annual Card Board Boat Regatta, volunteer training, athletic events and the Second Annual Sweet Briar College Athletics Hall of Fame. On Friday afternoon, Gay Hart Gaines `59 was honored as the Distinguished Alumna Award recipient while Prudence Bushnell, former Ambassador to Kenya and Guatemala, delivered the keynote speech at Founders' Day Convocation. On Sunday morning, Cara Gascoigne, Director of Physical Education 1912 – 1921, Jamie Planck Martin `81 and Jennifer Crossland `86 were inducted into the Hall of Fame.
