Winter MemoriesChristina Johnson Class of 2008, Physics and Engineering Science double major There have only been two snow days at Sweet Briar during my four years here. It's always exciting when the weathermen forecast a heavy snow for the area. Everyone wakes up early whether or not they have classes; they check their e-mail obsessively and whisper hopefully in the hallway. We're all waiting for the formal declaration that school is cancelled for the day. Once the joyous news spreads across campus (we all know how quickly this happens), everyone bundles up for at least a few minutes of running around in the snow. After a hurried snowman construction and a frenzy of picture taking, we head inside to warm up and spend the day not doing homework. The only bad part about snow days is that they all come to an end. |
