What songs get you ready to compete? The upbeat, get pumped up kind of songs like "Points of Authority" by Linkin Park, "Remember the Name" by Fort Minor and "Heavy" by Something Corporate.
What is the most rewarding part about being a student athlete? Seeing how much you improve as an athlete and as an individual.
Favorite characteristic about your team? Each person brings something different to the team. It makes it more enjoyable and really relaxing.
Describe your best athletic moment at Sweet Briar. The final relays where the other team is close to you and you're neck and neck and I dive in and try my hardest to pull ahead.
Why did you choose Sweet Briar? I just liked the feel of the school. Everyone was friendly and it made a huge difference sitting in on a class and getting to know the professors--they seemed very enthused towards their students.
What is your favorite place on campus? The pool, because even though from September to early February I'm practically living there, it is a place for me to forget about school, stress, and work and to just enjoy being myself swimming.
Most challenging class? Military Force.
How did you decide on your major? I've always had a fascination with learning about different countries, politically and culturally.
What campus clubs/organizations are you involved in outside of athletics? Nations United, Spanish club.
When I am not participating in my sport, I enjoy... writing short stories, calligraphy and painting.
Favorite sports movie? "Stick It," "Cool Runnings," "Pride."
An interesting fact about me is.... I'm adopted from Chile.
