The Annual Fund

The Annual Fund at Sweet Briar is generously supported by alumnae, parents, and friends whose unrestricted gifts sustain each facet of the Sweet Briar College experience, such as salaries for faculty and staff, academic programs, utility bills, office supplies, maintenance, and other operational costs. In addition, the Annual Fund also makes planning possible for significant campus priorities and new initiatives.

For those constituents who prefer to direct the use of their gifts, Sweet Briar offers six designation options: Sweet Briar’s Greatest Needs, Student Scholarships, Faculty Support, Campus Preservation, Athletics and Riding, and Technology. These broad areas are all College priorities that receive support from the Annual Fund.

The goal for the 2008 Annual Fund is $2,175,000 and your support is vital to our success. Every gift is important and conveys a vote of confidence in Sweet Briar College today. Annual Fund gifts may be made by check, stock/securities transfer, or credit card with our Secure Online Gift Form.

The success of the Annual Fund depends upon the incredible efforts of several strong volunteer programs. The members of the Reunion Giving Committee, the Parent Steering Committee, the Boxwood Circle Giving Committee, and the Young Alumnae Giving Program all give generously of their time to share their love of Sweet Briar and aid in raising critical financial support for the Annual Fund.
