___Finalize project proposal and submit to thesis advisor for review
___Register for fall semester Senior Honors Thesis independent study - 472
___Submit proposal to Honors Committee (September 13, 2004)

___Register for second semester Senior Honors Thesis independent study - 472

___Meet with Honors Program director

2. verify Honors Degree or Departmental Honors track

6 honors courses with a grade of B or better (including 3 seminars)

Senior thesis - 6 hours senior work and 3 hours (or the equivalent) of junior honors.

Departmental honors:

6 hours of senior thesis work and 3 hours (or the equivalent) of junior honors.

3. review defense procedure, grading the 6 or 9 hours of thesis work and designation of Honors levels

4. review timetable for rest of spring semester.

___Confirm outside thesis reader. Send name and address to Julie Hemstreet, Honors Program
___ Attend thesis workshop sessions facilitated by Honors Fellow
___Send first draft of thesis to all readers
End of March  
&
___Consult with outside reader & schedule thesis defense. Send information to Julie Hemstreet
___Defend thesis by April 22, 2005 . Make additional revisions to thesis, as required
___Collect original signatures of thesis committee on thesis title page
___Report level of Honors awarded to Honors Program
May - 1st week:  
___Notify the registrar of the letter grade earned for the thesis project independent study hours by senior grade deadline.

___Submit finalized copies of thesis with signed title page to department, Honors Program, and the library by May 5, 2005.
