Elena Swick '15 shows off groundnut seedlings grown from seeds she collected for a class germination experiment. She plans to culture them through the winter in the Wetlands Lab at the campus nature center and replant them next spring.  A native pea plant, groundnut fruit provides a valuable food source for wildlife.
