Mathematical Sciences

In the mathematical sciences, students analyze and solve problems in a variety of environments while improving and extending their logical skills. Major programs may be elected which emphasize abstract or applied mathematics.

Students may earn either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. The interdepartmental major in mathematical economics is offered jointly with the Department of Economics.
