Students taking piano, voice and orchestral lessons from Sweet Briar's music faculty will perform at 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 4 in the College's spring recital. The program includes performances in voice, piano, flute, violin, guitar, horn, clarinet, cello and harp, accompanied by pianist and music instructor Anna Billias.
In addition to Billias, the students are instructed by the following members of SBC's music faculty: Lynn Buck, Patrick Gatti, Rebecca McCord, Kevin Paul, Jana Ross, Nick Ross, Rafael Scarfullery, Virginia Schweninger, Marcia Thom and Peter Worford.
At 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, Sweet Briar's concert and chamber choirs will sing, directed by Frank Archer. Titled "Music with a French Flair," the program will include works by Gabriel Fauré, André Caplet, Alain Boubil and Claude-Michel Schönberg.
