The Sweet Briar volleyball squad started today's Homecoming Quad Meet against the Salem College Spirits. The Vixens were victorious in five sets, winning the match 3-2.
The set scores were 23-25 for set one. The Vixens bounced back to take the second by a score of 25-21. With the match score tied at 1-1, Salem prevailed in set three, 25-20. The Vixens were still looking strong in the fourth and made it even at 2-2 with the set score of 25-18. The deciding set went to Sweet Briar College with a score of 15-9.
The Vixens face University of Mary Washington for the second match of the day, with a start time close to 1:00 p.m.
The third and final match of the day against Eastern Mennonite University will follow to wrap up the quad meet for the Vixens.
