The Sweet Briar Office of Career Services will host its eighth annual Government, International and Law Careers Event from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21 in the Boxwood Room at the Florence Elston Inn & Conference Center.
All majors are invited to participate in a panel discussion with distinguished guests working in government, government contracting, international affairs and the legal profession. They also will be able to meet and network with Sweet Briar alumnae who have pursued careers in these fields.
The guest panel is slated to include Lynchburg city attorney Joyce Coleman; George Santulli, a senior TV producer and director at the U.S. State Department; Marjette L. Upshur, director, Office of Economic Development for the city of Lynchburg; Steve Eisenbraun, a senior advisor and editor-in-chief of the Human Rights Reports, U.S. State Department; Glenn Sullivan, director, Amherst County Department of Social Services; Amanda Watts ’05, U.S. Secret Service; Samantha D. Grist ’03, special counsel at Altria Inc.; attorney Christina L. Rose Hart ’02, Florance Gordon Brown PC; and Karen (last name withheld), multidisciplinary recruiter for the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency.
