This expert is a nationally certified athletic trainer and strength and conditioning specialist. With more than seven years experience as SBC head athletic trainer, she has expertise in women's athletic training and fitness, alcohol and tobacco use issues and stress management.

Professional achievements and/or current responsibilities:
Taylor is a National Athletic Trainers Association Board-certified athletic trainer and National Strength and Conditioning Association-certified strength and conditioning specialist. As SBC's head athletic trainer she is responsible for the student-athletes' fitness needs. She also teaches stress management and aerobic walking; consults on and designs fitness programs for faculty, staff and other students; and is responsible for updating staff certifications in CPR, automated external defibrillator use and first aid.

Taylor also receives renewable funding from the Virginia Department of Health for Tobacco Use Control Programs; coordinates other campus wellness programs in the areas of alcohol use and fitness; and coordinates SBC's athletics department drug testing program.

NATA member since 1997, NSCA member since 2002, VATA member since 1997

Educational background:
M.S. in exercise science and health promotion from Middle Tennessee State University and B.S. in health sciences with a concentration in athletic training from James Madison University.
