First-Year Housing

Each residence hall room has the following:

  • One single bed per resident. Beds are 7 inches off the ground with standard length mattresses.
  • One desk per resident. Desks generally measure 36 inches wide, 19.5 inches deep and 30 inches high
  • One dresser per resident. Meta Glass Hall has built in closet/dresser units.
  • One Internet connection per resident.
  • One telephone per room.

NOTE: You are required to bring and use a fluid-proof mattress pad and a power strip with surge protector.

Also, please remember the following items are not permitted:

  • Pets (except fish and turtles)
  • Candles and incense
  • Toasters (or any open flame or coil)
  • Coffee pots or any cooking appliances (with the exception of Keurig Pots)
  • Microwaves
