Visitation Options

For new students, a very important question on the Residential Information Response Form involves the visitation
hours for male guests in student rooms. It is important that students make this choice according to personal lifestyle
preference and that roommates communicate openly about expectations.

  • First-year students have a choice of visitation options (Limited and Open).
  • All upper-class housing is Open Visitation.
  • Assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis.


Limited Visitation Option:

Monday-Thursday..............................none
Friday and Saturday.............10 a.m.–1 a.m.
Sunday........................... 10 a.m.–midnight

Open Visitation:

Male visitation permitted with the agreement of the roommate(s). For visits in excess of three (3) consecutive nights, approval must be obtained from the Office of Residence Life.
