Ellen will join us for a virtual conversation on April 20 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. She will share her work, inspiration and creative process and answer questions from guests. Plus, we will talk about her new soundwalk at Wolf Trap
and our plans for a soundwalk at Sweet Briar in the fall.

Along with composer Missy Mazzoli, Ellen co-founded the Luna Composition Lab
. Luna Lab is a mentorship program for young, female-identifying, non-binary and gender non- conforming composers. Also, since the fall of 2019, she has served as creative advisor and composer-in-residence for Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra
She is inspired by music from all over the globe, and she splits her time between her two favorite cities – Los Angeles (where she has been commissioned all of the big four ensembles) and New York (where she has been commissioned by the New York Philharmonic).
