Sweet Briar equestrian announces NCEA, IHSA teams

Sweet Briar College’s riding program recently announced the rosters for its Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) and National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) teams.

On the NCEA team are Emily Schlosberg ’19, Lily Peterson ’21, Katie Balding ’21, Maggie Fraley ’22, Charlotte Hadley ’22 and Britt Larson-Jackson ’22. The head coach is riding program director Mimi Wroten; assistant coach is Lizzie Fisch. The team had its first meet on Sept. 21 against Southern Methodist University. Next, they’ll travel to the Dovington Training Center in Felton, Del., on Oct. 7 for a pair of meets. Sweet Briar will compete against host Delaware State University and in a neutral site meet against Converse College.

On the IHSA team are Ailish Rhoades ’19, Nicole Sabovik ’19, Jade Ashley ’20, Maddy Favre ’20, Chandler Fox ’20, Lauren Helber ’20, Isabel Joyner ’20, Olivia Kolenda ’20, McKenzie Michiels ’20, Sarah Miller ’20, Cassie Mills ’20, Abby Narodowy ’20, Ellyn Narodowy ’20, Amber Snyder ’20, Erin Snyder ’20, Kaitlin Duecker ’21, Hannah Inman ’21, Madeleine McAllister ’21, Abby Bell ’22, Chloe Kerschl ’22, Jennifer Markey ’22, Jenna Steinle ’22 and Caroline Waters ’22. Head coach is Lizzie Fisch; assistant coach is Phillip Williamson. The team competed in its first regular-season show on Sept. 23 and landed in third place.
