Posted on May 25, 2018 by Janika Carey

Sweet Briar campus Sweet Briar’s campus is ranked among the most beautiful in the country.

Thinking about transferring to Sweet Briar? Or perhaps you’ve been accepted but aren’t sure what else we might need from you? Here’s a list of things to know and do now — so you can be ready to hit the ground running when classes start in August. (We’re so excited!)

  1. Apply!

That’s right — Sweet Briar has rolling admission, so there is still time to apply. Here’s how to do that if you’re a transfer student.

  1. Send us your transcripts.

“Be sure we have official transcripts from your high school and for all your college coursework,” says senior admissions counselor Gloria Simon, who is in charge of transfer students. “We can review and accept students with unofficial transcripts, but now is the time to get us those official documents.”

  1. Visit campus!

There’s nothing like a campus visit to let you know you’re in the right place. Trust us. If you’ve never been to Sweet Briar — one of the largest and most beautiful college campuses in the country — you should make time to visit now. You can schedule a personal visit anytime or take a tour during Virginia Private College Week in July.

  1. Get automatic acceptance if you’re at a Virginia community college!

Did you know that Sweet Briar has guaranteed-acceptance agreements with colleges in the Virginia Community College System? Your final GPA has to be 2.5 or better, and you have to be in good standing at your institution. Need more info? Contact the admissions office — they’d be happy to help!

  1. Secure your spot.

Make sure you’re ready to deposit as soon as we let you know you’re accepted. It usually takes two weeks from the time you apply, but we might call you sooner!
