Choosing which college to attend is a big decision. It’s all about finding the right fit and to do that, there’s no substitute for the campus visit.

Sweet Briar College will participate in Virginia Private College Week from Monday, July 24, to Saturday, July 29. This annual open house, hosted by the members of the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia, is offered as a cost- and time-saving way for prospective students and their parents to visit a number of the state’s private colleges and universities in one coordinated trip.

By visiting at least three institutions during the week, students receive three application fee waivers to use at any of the participating CICV colleges.

Sweet Briar will host sessions at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Only the morning session will be offered Saturday, July 29. Sessions typically include a tour of campus and overview of the distinctive aspects of a Sweet Briar education and conclude with informational sessions on admissions and financial aid. Optional tours of the riding center also will be available.

Reservations are strongly recommended, but are not required to visit Sweet Briar. Please go to our visit page and click the Virginia Private College Week link to sign up.

If you have questions or are unable to visit during Virginia Private College Week and would like to arrange another time, please email admissions@sbc.edu or call (800) 381-6142.
