Sweet Briar College graduate Meagan Bell ’09 rang in the New Year as a recipient of Harris Corporation’s “10 Under 10” award.

The award honors emerging leaders — all within 10 years of obtaining their undergraduate degree — for their professional success and demonstrated leadership, both at Harris and within their communities.

Bell joined Harris Corporation in 2010 after graduating from Sweet Briar with a bachelor’s in business management the previous year. According to a press release, Bell collaborated with the company’s sales team to improve data dependability, leading to better predictive analytics and decision-making for her team. She also served as the liaison between the United Way Young Leaders program and Harris Corporation to encourage community involvement.

Bell also organized 20 fellow female employees to spread awareness and raise funds to combat domestic violence and sexual assault. These achievements helped her stand out among more than 100 nominees, making her one of 10 honorees selected.

Harris Corporation is a leading technology innovator, supporting customers in more than 100 countries with approximately $7.5 billion in annual revenue and 21,000 employees worldwide. The company is organized into four business segments: Communication Systems, Space and Intelligence Systems, Electronic Systems and Critical Networks.
