Dorothy Malone Yates, who graduated from Sweet Briar in 1942, has died. She was 95.

Yates was a generous supporter of Sweet Briar and member of the College community in Atlanta, where she was a lifelong resident. She served on the College’s Alumnae Board from 1964 to 1966 and was a member of the Williams Society.

Yates died at home on Dec. 29, 2015. Her husband, Charlie Yates, preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Charles Yates Jr., Sarah Sutherland, Comer Yates and Dorothy Yates Kirkley, all of Atlanta; a sister, Sarah M.
