Board chair participates in webinar on governance

Teresa Pike Tomlinson ’87 recently participated in a webinar hosted by Nonprofit Quarterly on how today’s communications environment has created a new governance environment.
Tomlinson spoke as the chair of the Sweet Briar Board of Directors and as the mayor of Columbus, Ga., an office she has held since January 2011. She spoke on how the College’s board is approaching its work and governance in a new, more networked way. She also presented her perspective on governance and stakeholders from the view of an elected official.
