SBC celebrates International Education Week

Beginning Sunday, Nov. 15, Sweet Briar College will host several events across campus in honor of International Education Week.
The French Club kicks off activities at 7:30 p.m. Sunday with a Crepe Night in the lower level of Grammer Hall. On Monday, students and alumnae will discuss their study abroad experiences during the “GO AWAY” panel, which takes place at noon in Josey Dining Room. “Study Abroad Speed Dating” on Tuesday – same time and location – will give interested students the chance to talk directly with current students who have studied in foreign countries. An international internship session follows at 4 p.m. in the career services library. Sweet Briar’s steel drum orchestra Skiffle USA will round out the day during dinner in Prothro.
Other events include a Korean art film screening of Kim Kidok’s “Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring 2003” at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Tyson Auditorium and a movie night featuring “Mulan” and “Painted Skin” starting at 7 p.m. Thursday in the 1948 Theater.
All week long during lunch, SBC Dining will be serving regional cuisines from around the globe through its Hemisflavors program.
