Sweet Briar students host 5K to benefit Amherst schools

The Sweet for Schools business seminar at Sweet Briar College will host a 5K Turkey Trot Walk/Run to benefit Amherst County Public Schools at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, on campus.
Registration is $15 per person and $50 for families of four or more people. A free T-shirt will be included if you register by Oct. 18, although registration is open through Nov. 7. Check-in/late registration will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on race day.
There also will be a kids’ 1-mile fun run at 11 a.m., as well as refreshments and tie-dyeing during and following the event. Feel free to wear your best Thanksgiving-themed outfit!
