Sweet Briar House is 2015 Landmark Holiday Ornament

The YWCA of Central Virginia’s Sexual Assault Response Program announced that it has chosen Sweet Briar House as its 2015 Landmark Holiday Ornament.
“As you many of you know, part of the mission statement of the YWCA of Central Virginia is to empower women,” the organization wrote on its Facebook page.
“Earlier this year, it was announced that SBC would be closing in August, and without hesitation, concerned students, staff and alumni, as well as general community members, rallied together and fought for the continuation of their school; reflecting and showing what a group of empowered and dedicated women could accomplish.”
The cost of the ornament is $20, which includes a free Appomattox McClean House ornament in honor of its 150th anniversary. To purchase a Sweet Briar House ornament, please contact the SARP office at (434) 947-7422.
