Sweet Briar College’s Business Seminar I students will host “Taste for Adoption,” a chili tasting-event to support the Humane Society of Amherst County, at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at the Elston Inn Conference Center on campus.

For a donation of their choice, patrons may sample a variety of chilies prepared by members of the Sweet Briar community and the Humane Society. A silent auction is also on the agenda. In addition, the event will provide information about the Humane Society and about Sweet Briar’s business department.

The Business Seminar I is a semester-long course offering students an opportunity to practice the skills they have learned in the classroom in a business-like environment. Students work in teams to organize events for the campus and the larger community in support of a charity of their choice. This semester, seminar participants unanimously chose the Humane Society of Amherst County.
