John Goulde, professor of religion and director of Sweet Briar’s Asian studies program, will present a lecture at Lynchburg College’s Daura Gallery at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22. Goulde will present “21st-Century Korean Art: Abstract/Emotive/Textured/ Global,” in conjunction with an installation by Korean-based artist Kwang-Young Chun, on display in the gallery through March 6.

Chun’s work in the exhibition, “Aggregations, New Work,” begins with individual, triangular Styrofoam forms that he wraps in Korean mulberry paper and assembles into large-scale works; the whole is an aggregate of its many parts.
