Entrepreneurs share stories at Salt Block Project

Sweet Briar College’s business department will host the Salt Block Project, a conference on entrepreneurship and innovation, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 16.

The conference workshops are an opportunity for college students, community members, local small businesses and budding entrepreneurs to interact with successful business owners and entrepreneurs.

Speakers include venture capitalist Patrick Morin, who is the chief operating officer and president of BrightHammer LLC; Deborah Jones, a Sweet Briar alumna and co-founder and owner of SquareOne Organic Vodka; Dave Roberts, managing partner of RecycleEasy and architectural and structural department manager at Wiley|Wilson; Billy Flint from Flint Property Group; Caskie Giles from Blue Ridge Mortgage; John Davis, president of O’Bon; and members of the Edison2 Very Light Car team.

The event is free and open to the public.
