Onyx club hosts Fall Gospel Fest Nov. 11

Onyx, a student club that promotes minority growth at Sweet Briar College, will host the Fall Gospel Fest at 5 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 11 in Murchison Lane Auditorium at Babcock Fine Arts Center.

Admission is free, but donations will be accepted. Proceeds will benefit Onyx activities, which will include community service work.

Choirs and individuals on the program include, among others, the Lynchburg group Ordain, Radford University Deliverance Gospel Choir, Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Amherst and Amherst vocalist Derrick Thompson, who has performed numerous times in the College’s annual Gospel Fest held in February.
