McCormick Templeman teaches courses in dramatic literature and screenwriting. She holds a PhD in English from the University of Denver, and she received her theater training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Additionally, she holds a second master’s degree and doctorate in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine. As an actor, she has performed in Portland, Oregon and New York City, and she has published widely. Her books include The Little Woods (Penguin Random House) and The Glass Casket (Penguin Random House) as well as the co-authored Swerve (Astrophil Press) and AstroLit: A Bibliophile’s Guide to the Stars (Penguin Random House). In her teaching, she prioritizes collaboration and innovation, believing that any classroom is a space imbued with the potential for community.
