Alongside a diversity of talents worldwide, she aspires to transform patients’ lives with powerful data science tools such as personalized/precision medicine and machine learning. Health data science is an interdisciplinary field that involves many skills such as biostatistics, computer science, problem solving, critical thinking, and continuous learning. Phoebe is grateful that she gets to utilize the knowledge and training she received from both Sweet Briar and UNC at her daily work. Before her current position, Phoebe was a research assistant in the Department of Biostatistics at UNC-Chapel Hill and a biostatistics graduate intern at JMP Life Sciences, SAS Institute Inc.
