Sweet Briar College is pleased to announce that award-winning novelist and memoirist Thirii Myo Kyaw Myint will give the keynote speech at the 2023 Sweet Briar Summer: Arts and Writing Retreat being held on campus, June 22-25, 2023.
On March 22, 2023, Sweet Briar College held its annual Academic Recognition Dinner to celebrate students named to the Dean’s List and the First Year Honors List. We also recognized one member of the senior class as the 2023 Presidential Medalist.

This year, alumnae and friends stepped up to March Days of Giving with 1,452 gifts from around the world.
Author Elizabeth Rush will speak to the Sweet Briar College community on March 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Mills Chapel as part of the college’s annual Julia B. Waxter Environmental Forum. The event is free and open to the public.
This gift will help to modernize the building, which is home to Sweet Briar’s engineering and other science disciplines.
