Open Dialogues reflect the topics and issues relevant to SBC’s multicultural student communities. The Dialogues provide a space for members of these communities to share their own experiences and for folks who do not identify with these communities to listen, learn and expand their understanding and perspectives on a variety of relevant topics to the current student body. The goal is that, as a result of participation, SBC community members will become more informed while developing skills, compassion, and vision to create a more just world, in line with the mission of the College.
Students, faculty and staff are invited to attend Open Dialogues. These events are not currently open to alumnae or the greater Amherst community.
Each Dialogue will follow a similar outline:
12-12:30 p.m. - Participants arrive and get settled in Josey. Folks are welcome to bring their lunch.
12:30 p.m. - Open Dialogue begins
1:30 p.m. - Open Dialogue ends and participants can linger to mingle as interested
2 p.m. - Event ends
