The Student Academic Success Center is here to help students with all aspects of academic life at Sweet Briar. Our experienced student tutors meet with you one-on-one to help you improve your study skills, manage stress and do your strongest academic work possible. The Student Academic Success Center also hosts events throughout the year, like De-Stress Fest, a week of group study and relaxation leading up to finals.

Known for doing outstanding work in their major, subject tutors can help you review concepts from class and study for exams. Our subject tutors currently specialize in art history, biology, chemistry, economics, history, math, music and psychology.
Writing Tutors
Writing tutors are experienced writers from all majors who want to help you become more confident in your writing process. Writing tutors can help you revise a draft, outline an argument or just get your ideas down on paper. Come with any project that involves writing: presentation slides, a script for a podcast, lab reports, artwork labels and more.
